John and I are on the move. Last night we were in Obidos, which is a walled town. We stayed in a room in the castle. We had been there before but it's so cool. We walked the perimeter of the castle wall. Of course there are lots of shops selling tiles, ceramics linens as well as home made bows and arrows and swords and other castley things. I like buying souvenirs in Portugal because of thee thriving cottage industry. I bought some hand painted tile earrings
Today we traveled about 30 min to the seaside town of Nazare. You see a lot of fisherwomen wearing the traditional skirts and shawls. We had a sandwich, beer and espresso in a small cafe - total €8.50. I also bought a heavy brown cardigan for €20. Oh oh, how am I going to get it in my suitcase
